Tall wood-frame buildings are at the forefront of current architectural, developer, and city planning discussions around the world. See the buzz gathered around Kehilla’s event as part of the greater conversation on this innovative endeavour.
On September 27th, 2018, Kehilla hosted Tall Timber: What's the Word on Wood? at the Kiever Shul in Toronto. The event was organised to hear industry experts talk about the New and Innovative Timber High-rise Construction. These were informative and intimate talks in the style of PechaKucha, in which presenters showed a series of 20 slides for 20 seconds each, to raise awareness of, and find solutions to, the city’s housing affordability problem.
